North Lincolnshire Council installed ten electrical and battery collection containers in community buildings chosen for accessibility and high public use. Staff were trained to help residents dispose of electricals safley. Events, social media, and local media raised awareness.
The initiative made recycling easier for people without access to household waste sites or kerbside services. It collected nearly 1 tonne of electricals and batteries and boosted community participation in recycling.
