Oxfordshire County Council introduced dedicated vape recycling bins at household waste recycling centres, kerbside collections, and public drop‑off points to make vape recycling easier for residents. The pilot collected over 100,000 vapes weighing more than 3 tonnes, reducing environmental harm and embedding vape recycling into the county’s waste services.
Oxfordshire will continue to provide vape drop-off containers at all Household Waste Recycling Centres and promote kerbside collection. They will also continue to guide residents to retailer take-back schemes and the Recycle Your Electricals postcode locator.
