Renewi UK Services Limited installed 26 on‑street electrical recycling bring banks and library bins across Wakefield and ran a multi‑channel awareness campaign to make recycling easier for residents without cars. The project collected 26.5 tonnes of electricals, achieving a 248% increase in recycling and embedding the service into local waste operations.
All the new bring banks and bins will remain in service after the funding period. Renewi will continue promoting electrical recycling through social media and at their education events.
