Resource Futures set up smart tech drop‑off points, repair cafés, and community outreach events across Somerset to make donating unwanted tech easier. The pilot collected 3,774 items weighing 6.142 tonnes, rehomed over 900 devices, tested collection approaches, and increased awareness of electrical recycling through the Fixy mobile initiative.
The 11 tech collection points will continue to operate and Fixy will keep attending community events, repair cafés and tech amnesties
